Serie A, Monday, 14/04/2025 at 20:45
There aren’t many exciting football matches taking place across Europe on Monday! But it’s a good thing that I can place a Naples Empoli tip for what is possibly the most interesting game of this weekday with my preferred betting provider!
Meanwhile, the SSC has to struggle! The ease with which they were able to overcome relegation candidates in the first half of the season seems to have long since vanished. Against Empoli, the motto for Conte’s team is clear: roll up your sleeves and fight!
On Monday evening, Napoli will face Empoli at their home ground, the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona – a game that may look straightforward on paper, but on closer inspection, it has a lot more explosive potential.
The home side have set themselves the goal of competing for the title until the end of the season, but their recent performances cast doubt on this.
Only two wins from the last nine Serie A games, with six draws, show that Napoli can’t hold their leads.
They have lost a lead four times in recent games – a fact that could well be repeated against supposedly weaker opponents. Inter won’t let that stop them from winning the Scudetto in the long run!
SSC’s home record is particularly striking: although they have not been beaten in five league games at home (3 wins, 2 draws), they have not kept a clean sheet in any of them.
This is a weakness that inspires courage – especially when you’re the underdog like Empoli.
The visitors, for their part, are in the midst of a relegation battle and have not won in their last 16 Serie A games – a frightening record consisting of five draws and 11 defeats.
Nevertheless, Empoli has surprised Napoli in the past.
They have won two of their last three away games at the Partenopei – this shows that the relegation candidates should not be underestimated despite their current crisis.
However, this year’s record against the top teams in Serie A is sobering.
Ten games against teams from the top six places in the table, not a single win, three draws and seven defeats – that says a lot about Empoli’s ability when it comes to ambitious clubs.
In particular, they conceded 15 goals in five games against the top three. These defensive problems could take them down again.
My favorite bet for Monday: Napoli win and both teams score – a combination that is currently available on the handy Betano app even without a odds boost at odds of around 3.65.
Why? Because Napoli have conceded goals in each of their last matches, but still have a strong home record.
If you want to be on the safe side, you can also go for the Over 2.5 goals variant, which is quoted at around 1.93. After all, at least three goals have been scored in four of Napoli’s last seven games.
For those who find this too ordinary, I recommend the option of Napoli winning the second half. The odds for this are currently close to 1.62.
Empoli is showing weaknesses, especially in the final phase – they often seem tired and lose their grip. Napoli, on the other hand, “usually” likes to play controlled games at home and often turns up in the second half.
If it weren’t for the numerous low points in recent weeks, I would have no doubt about this Naples Empoli betting tip.
Interesting for those willing to take risks: the exact result 2:1 for Napoli – a bet that will win you about 9.00. This result is in line with the previous season trends of both teams and offers an excellent risk-reward ratio.
Napoli will probably not win easily, but in the end it is the three points that count – and the odds.
This is definitely a betting offer that I would highly recommend to the daring sports betting fans among you.
Incidentally, I can also “highly recommend” taking a look at the best betting providers without tax. Then you can save yourself the legally required tax deduction on successful football bets.
Conclusion: Napoli will not blast the opponent out of the stadium and into orbit, that much is certain.
Empoli will put up some resistance and may even score a consolation goal.
But SSC’s quality should be enough to successfully rehabilitate themselves in front of their own supporters after the disappointing 1-1 draw against Bologna.
My Naples Empoli, meanwhile, is: Napoli win & over 2.5 goals.
