Neestrup, Jacob
– FC Copenhagen
It’s no secret that Ralph Hasenhüttl will not be staying at VfL Wolfsburg beyond this season. And the VfL bosses have long been looking at potential replacements. No wonder that Danes are at the top of the list – especially Jacob Neestrup. VfL boss Peter Christiansen once brought him to FC Copenhagen as the successor to Jess Thorup (FC Augsburg), and Neestrup led the club to a double in his very first season. Christiansen’s predecessor, Marcel Schäfer, had also been in contact with the 37-year-old.
