As is well known, Manuel Neuer’s contract with FC Bayern expires in the summer. After his brilliant performance on Wednesday evening in Madrid, the question of extra time naturally came up again. The club’s top management commented on the following in Spain’s capital. According to sporting director Max Eberl, Neuer (40) wants to “play the games in April” before making a decision: “And he doesn’t need to provide any more big arguments. He should just stay healthy, stay courageous. And then we’ll sit down.”
