It is the first season without superstar Kylian Mbappe – and of course the competition is full of hope that they will be able to topple Paris St. Germain for that reason alone! So far, however, the defending champions do not appear to be going to let that happen.
After a defeat in the premier competition, they are expected to respond accordingly on Sunday. And they face a club that has been giving Paris a relatively hard time for years. In my Nice PSG tip, I’ll tell you exactly why I’m betting on a “BTS” here.
A small wobble against Reims in the 1-1 draw, but that’s about it when it comes to my national complaints about PSG! After Kylian Mbappe left, the team had to regroup, but so far they seem to have done quite well.
Three 3-1s, one 4-1 and a 6-0: especially offensively, you hardly notice that the French world champion is now playing for Real Madrid. Well, as a small point of criticism, I can perhaps highlight that they have conceded a goal in five of six games.
At the same time, however, I also see two betting opportunities for you. One is the favorite result, 3-1. If it should also happen on Sunday, the odds at Bet365 would jump to 13.0 and you would also have the opportunity to benefit from the bonus code.
The second variant could imply a goal for Nice, and just EXACTLY one. If this happens, you can get odds of 2.45 at Oddset.
In principle, PSG is clearly favored in any case, but that is actually always the case.
Bradley Barcola, who has already scored six times in Ligue 1, also failed to make an impact in the Champions League. With two defeats from their last 15 direct duels, it’s not exactly as if Nice are among the feared opponents.
At the same time, however, the most recent results were quite close. 2-1, 2-3, 2-0, 2-1, 0-1, 0-0 and 2-1, Nice are giving Paris a really hard time. In this respect, the home side should know exactly what needs to be done to put the pressure on the stars.
The Aiglons have had a very mixed start to this new season and somehow I can hardly understand their results. 4-1, 0-2, 8-0 and 0-0? The last four results alone show that anything can happen here.
How can you win 8-0 against St. Etienne and then get hammered 8-0 against Lens just a few days later? Granted, Lens were a tougher opponent, but the discrepancy is still incredible.
By the way, the season started with a 1-2 loss to Auxerre and a 1-1 draw with Toulouse, so wins, draws and defeats now count double – one of the three possibilities will have to be decided on Sunday.
Nice have only played two home games, by the way, and have picked up four points. It is interesting to note, by the way, that the team were only once behind after the first 45 minutes, which happened in the 2-0 defeat to Marseille.
How surprising would it be if the Aiglons managed the same against Paris? The double chance in the first half is on offer at Betano at odds of 1.60.
However, Nice must of course also manage to forget the Europa League. They were beaten 1-4 by Lazio Rome, and with THIS defense, they won’t be able to get a grip on PSG!
For Paris St. Germain, Sunday will be about quickly forgetting the CL defeat against Arsenal. They are doing well in Ligue 1, winning comfortably and with a lot of goals.
However, they only picked up a clean sheet once. In my opinion, Nice is a team that is hard to analyze. 0-2 or 8-0, anything can happen here. But: For years, they have been giving PSG a really hard time in direct duels.
That’s why I decided not to send Paris to another galaxy. Nice are a very unpleasant side who will definitely have chances against PSG. So my tip is:
Both teams to score!
