On Friday afternoon, TSG Hoffenheim confirmed what kicker had announced in the morning: Christian Ilzer is the new head coach of Hoffenheim. TSG has given the 47-year-old successor to Pellegrino Matarazzo a “long-term” contract, which will probably run until 2027. At Ilzer’s previous club Sturm Graz, the coach of the 2nd team, Jürgen Säumel, has been promoted to head coach on an interim basis
