Promotion shortly before the transfer window closes: Jonah Sticker from third-division club Viktoria Cologne has joined SC Paderborn, which plays one division higher. The 21-year-old is “a versatile center back” moving to Paderborn, according to the East Westphalia club, which was looking for a replacement for Marcel Hoffmeier, who is out with a cruciate ligament rupture. Sticker came up through the youth ranks at Bayer Leverkusen and already has 57 appearances in the third division to his name.
