The Planica Skifliegen 2025, the World Cup final for the “kings of the air”, will take place this weekend. The athletes will fly over 250 meters on the famous Letalnica bratov Gorisek!
The program for the 2025 Planica Ski Flying includes a total of three competitions on Friday (March 28), Saturday (March 29) and Sunday (March 30).
The competitions will be preceded by the qualification on Thursday (March 27, 10:00 a.m.). The first of the two individual flights will take place on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
The 2025 Planica Skifliegen schedule continues on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with the team competition. The weekend will be rounded off by the second individual competition on Sunday, which will begin at 9:30 a.m. after the qualification.

Planica Ski Flying 2025: broadcast on TV and livestream
In the winter sports live TV program, the broadcast of this year’s Planica ski flying will be shown in its entirety on free TV.
ARD will broadcast the Planica ski flying 2025 live on free TV on Friday (28.3.), Saturday (29.3.) and Sunday (30.3.).
All three competitions will also be shown via livestream in the ARD media library and at sportschau.de.

The Letalnica bratov Gorisek ski jump was opened in 1969 and has been modified several times over the years.
Based on the hill record, the Letalnica is the second largest ski jump in the world.

Planica Ski Flying 2025 Prediction: Favorites & Odds
Who are the favorites for this weekend’s Planica ski flying? This question is anything but easy to answer based on recent results.
Until a few weeks ago, the Austrians were the measure of all things. The Ski Jumping World Cup was dominated by the leader Daniel Tschofenig and his pursuers Jan Hörl and Stefan Kraft respectively.
Since the Nordic World Ski Championships, however, things have not been going according to plan for the Austrians. In Norway, only Jan Hörl managed to convince with a silver medal.
In Lathi, too, things did not go according to plan for the ÖSV eagles. Only Stefan Kraft managed a satisfactory result with second place. Nevertheless, the trio is among the top favorites at the World Cup final in Planica.

At the penultimate ski flying competition in Vikersund, the winners were Andreas Wellinger and Domen Prevc.
The German ski jumper in particular should be on your radar after winning silver at the World Championships and taking first place in the Raw Air ranking.
