On the last matchday of the World Cup qualifiers, the starting position in Group F is not particularly complicated. With a win against outsiders Armenia, Portugal will qualify for the 2026 World Cup in any case.

The fact is that the Armenians have lost four of the previous five qualifying games without scoring a goal of their own. The only two goals came in the surprising 2-1 win against Ireland.
