PSG – Nice Tip, Prediction & Odds 25.04.2025

Ligue 1, Matchday 31, Friday, 25.04.2025 at 20:45

The champions can take it easy this season – but a whole season without defeat would of course be quite nice. Paris St. Germain will decide on their own how clear the final result will be in 2024/25.

On Friday, the champions open the 31st round, with their opponents in the midst of a heated battle for the Champions League.

Based on my comprehensive analysis, I will now reveal to you in my PSG Nice prediction why I am eyeing a “BTS” here.

The question of who will win the title has long been settled in the French Ligue 1. Paris St. Germain is also playing big in the season after Kylian Mbappe, sitting at the top of the table without a defeat after 30 matchdays.

After ten wins in a row, it almost happened a few days ago: the first defeat was close! Paris had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Nantes. However, even here, the equalizer was conceded just before the final whistle.

Is the champion coasting, but in a cautious way? 1-0 against Angers, 2-1 against Le Havre and now 1-1 against Nantes – you can tell that they’re not giving 100 percent anymore.

That’s understandable, because the stars have other goals this season. They have reached the semi-finals of the Champions League, with the first leg against Arsenal coming up on Tuesday.

The Henkelpott has been the big goal for years, so I can’t rule out that the game against Nice might be considered a minor matter. Nevertheless, PSG naturally wants to finish this season completely undefeated.

With three goals in their last three games, the attack is unusually sluggish, with the team having scored a total of 83 goals so far. Ousmana Dembele has now gone four games without a goal (he was not played once).

This is curious, given that the former Dortmund player had previously scored 16 times in just eleven matches. In the first leg against Nice, which also ended in a 1-1 draw, Dembele was not among the goalscorers.

As you can see, I can’t find anything more than minor flaws in this team. Which I definitely find interesting. PSG have conceded exactly one goal 18 times, and seven clean sheets are almost a little too few.

Especially considering that PSG has the best defense with only 28 goals conceded in total. By the way, you can bet that Nice will extend their streak on Friday and also score exactly one goal.

Interwetten is offering odds of 2.45 for this. Speaking of odds, the hosts are of course the favorites in this match, with odds averaging 1.50 to 5.25.

Four wins in the last nine games against Nice? I can’t really say that this is one of their favorite opponents. Paris has only kept a clean sheet once in the last seven matches.

The visitors therefore know how to break down the star-studded team. They are part of a large group chasing second place. Marseille have 54 points, Monaco 54, Lille 53 – behind them come Nice, Lyon and Strasbourg with 51 points each.

It’s incredibly tight, but Nice only have themselves to blame for not being in the best position. The team went five games without a win, picking up just two points.

Four times they conceded two goals. Against Angers, luck was back on their side, and they breathed a sigh of relief after a 2-1 win. The victory came at home, which didn’t surprise me.

With nine wins and only two defeats – and 15 goals conceded – Nice are doing very well at home, but their away record of 5-5-5 is rather mediocre. They have already lost to Lille, Monaco, Lyon, and Marseille – four of the top teams.

Nice are masters of the first half, by the way. They have scored 33 times and gone into the break with a lead in 13 of their last 16 games. Only once in that period have they failed to score before the break.

What this means for you: The bet “Nice to score in the first half” at odds of 2.42 at Betano is worth a shot. You can also go for broke and bet on a half-time lead, which increases the odds to 5.10!

There is no doubt that PSG has everything under control this season. The star-studded team from the capital has already secured the title and could now achieve the feat of going through the entire season unbeaten. But: They also need to save their energy for the Champions League.

Nice is a minor bogey team for PSG in recent years, if PSG even has such a thing in domestic competition. The visitors are less solid defensively, but attack early in the game.

Since I discovered that the home side actually concede goals relatively often, I quickly decided on the following bet:

Both teams to score!
