The bookmakers definitely expect goals on both sides, because this bet is dated with a 1.50 in the very low range. Since Leipzig scored three times against Juventus and Atletico, this is quite likely.
Analysis: RB Leipzig vs Liverpool
Lots of praise, but no points – that’s no use! Whenever the Champions League is mentioned, RB Leipzig always looks a bit enviously at the Bundesliga 1, because these competitions differ quite a bit from each other.
I’ll start with the premier class, appropriately enough. With Atletico Madrid and Juventus Turin, two really tough opponents were waiting right at the start. It was actually quite strong that the Bulls were able to score 1:0 in both games.
On the other hand, it is of course more than unfortunate that in the end no points were collected. Against Juventus, the third goal was scored in the 82nd minute, against Atletico it was not until minute 90.
The bottom line is that they have conceded five goals after two matches. And that’s exactly what not everyone can understand, because in the first division there were already six clean sheets in the first seven rounds!
Will Leipzig take the lead for the third time in this preliminary round? I could understand if you want to take exactly this risk again! The odds for this are 2.35 at Oddset.
In addition, one could assume that the home side will lead after the first 45 minutes. The odds jump even higher, a 3.75 would easily be possible for the first half tip.
At the same time, however, there is always the option of betting on an outcome. Unfortunately, I still see the Reds in front, albeit by a narrow margin. A 2-1 win is therefore my top priority, which will pay off for you at odds of 9.00.
Liverpool v RB Leipzig: Is there a surprise in store?
It only scored a goal against Leverkusen 3-2, but if you’re clearly behind against the German champions but still win, you can easily overlook that.
Of course, however, I also have to say: Bochum, Union Berlin, St. Pauli, Augsburg, Heidenheim and Mainz, with all due respect, we cannot compare these opponents with Atletico, Juve or Liverpool.
In four of seven games, we only conceded a maximum of one goal. It’s actually strange that the attack against the big teams from the premier league gets more done. Will that also be the case on Wednesday?

Benjamin Sesko and Lois Openda have scored eleven goals this season, so this duo will also be important against Liverpool. It is still unclear whether the injured David Raum will be able to take part in the game.
