Real Valladolid – Barcelona Tip, Prediction & Odds 03.05.2025

La Liga, Matchday 34 on Saturday, 03.05.2025 at 21:00

FC Barcelona has already won two titles in 2024/25: the Spanish Super Cup and the Copa del Rey. What else is in store in the final stretch of the season? I’ll discuss that in my Real Valladolid vs. Barcelona prediction.

The dream of lifting the trophy in Europe’s premier competition is still alive after Wednesday’s 3-3 draw at home against Inter Milan in the first leg of the semi-finals. The return leg at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium is already coming up next week.

In between, however, Barca must also concentrate on the league and maintain their four-point lead over their only pursuers, Real Madrid. The task on Saturday is quite straightforward, though.

The Blaugrana face bottom-of-the-table Real Valladolid, who are already certain to be relegated. Accordingly, the odds are pretty clear in favor of the Catalans.

I come to a similar conclusion and, in my Real Valladolid vs. Barcelona prediction, I’m going for a “Barca win & under 5.5 goals” bet at odds of 1.53 with Oddset.

The Blanquivioletas are bottom of the league. After 33 matchdays, they have only 16 points to their name. They are 18 points adrift of safety.

The stark difference between the two sides is reflected in the Real Valladolid vs. Barcelona odds. The visitors are priced at 1.17 to win.

On the other hand, the best bookmakers are offering odds of between 13.0 and 15.5 for a home win.

In 2018, Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldo acquired a majority stake in Real Valladolid. The former world-class striker wanted to establish the “Pucelas” in the first division.

There was even a five-year plan to qualify for the Champions League. But the club from Castile and León simply couldn’t shake off its image as a yo-yo team.

After this season, they will be changing leagues for the fifth year in a row. Overall, the Blanquivioletas will be relegated to the Segunda Division for the tenth time, the third time under club owner Ronaldo.

Valladolid had both the weakest offense (24) and by far the weakest defense (81) in 2024/25. In 33 games, they managed just four wins and four draws.

There was still hope after the first half of the season. They were only two points behind the safety zone. But Real picked up just one point from the 14 games in the second half of the season.

Their most recent victory came on matchday 19. The last seven games have all been lost. The newly promoted team has simply proven that it is not fit for the top flight. After this season, protests against club owner Ronaldo have intensified.

Even two coaching dismissals have had no effect. Now former coach Alvaro Rubio is to finish the season on an interim basis.

FC Barcelona and Inter Milan fought a thrilling 3-3 draw in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final. The match was a reflection of the Catalans’ season.

On the one hand, coach Hansi Flick can call on what is probably the best offense in Europe with players such as Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, as well as the currently injured Robert Lewandowski.

On the other side, the Blaugrana are struggling a bit in defense. Inter’s first three chances led to goals, two of them from corners. But the 3-3 draw leaves everything open for the second leg in Milan.

Barca was the better team and responded impressively to going 2-0 down early on and then 3-2 later in the game. Statistics such as possession (72%), expected goals (1.36 to 0.90) and total shots (19-7) spoke for themselves.

In La Liga, Barcelona is on course for the title. With five games to go before the end of the season, they are four points ahead of Real Madrid. On matchday 35, they can finally distance themselves from their arch-rivals in the Clasico at home.

Barca are unbeaten in 14 league games (12W, 2D). After 33 matchdays, they have already scored 89 goals. However, 32 goals conceded are only enough for fifth place in the league.

The two clubs have faced each other 95 times (twice in the Copa del Rey and 93 times in La Liga). With 64 wins to 15 defeats (16 draws), Barcelona clearly has the upper hand. Valladolid won 13 of those 15 defeats at home.

However, the most recent encounters are particularly significant for our Real Valladolid vs. Barcelona prediction. In their last nine games against the Catalans, the “Pucela” have suffered eight defeats.

The exception was a 3-1 home win on matchday 36 of last season. The first leg of the current season was particularly bitter for the “Blanquivioletas.” They lost 7-0 away to FCB.

Raphinha scored three times in that game. On Saturday, VBET is offering odds of 1.76 for Real Valladolid Barcelona tip “Raphinha to score.” You can also redeem the current VBET promo voucher with this provider!

Will the Catalans make it clear again? Admiralbet is offering odds of 1.95 for a “Barca win with a -2 handicap” bet. New customers can also secure the Admiralbet betting bonus!

There is no doubt that the visitors will win on Saturday. The fact that Hansi Flick will certainly rest a few regular players ahead of the Champions League return leg does not change that.

Valladolid simply cannot keep up in the first division. However, as the Catalans may only field a second-string team, I don’t expect a landslide victory like in the first leg.

My Real Valladolid Barcelona prediction is therefore: Barca win & under 5.5 goals!
