Recently, rumours had surfaced that Rot-Weiss Essen were intensively involved with Tolcay Cigerci. The 30-year-old midfielder has scored twelve goals so far this season in Lausitz and is in 1st place, with Essen five points behind. However, there is no need to worry about the departure of the top scorer at FCE, as Cigerci’s agent made clear to “Tag24”: “We are totally happy in Cottbus, we have no plans for a winter move. Tolcay is concentrating on getting promoted with energy.” In Cottbus, Cigerci still has a contract until 2027.
