Sevilla FC have parted ways with coach Garcia Pimienta, the Andalusian club announced on Sunday. The 50-year-old had only taken up the post before this season, but Sevilla are in the lower middle of the table with only 36 points after 31 match days. Under his leadership, they have only managed nine wins, nine draws and 13 defeats. After the 1-0 defeat on Friday, the Sevilla management lost their patience. Garcia Pimienta spent his entire playing career at FC Barcelona, but only made one appearance for the first team. The Catalan-born coach also spent most of his coaching career working with the youth teams at FC Barcelona before taking over at UD Las Palmas in 2022 and leading the club into the Spanish first division.
