Masters Cincinnati 2025 Participants: Seedings & Favorites with Betting Odds
All the top stars are on the list of Cincinnati Masters participants – with one exception: Novak Djokovic. The veteran will also miss the second US Masters event after Toronto.
Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz – numbers 1 and 2 in the world rankings – are back after having to skip the Toronto Masters due to injury.
But that also means that the starting position is now clear again: when top dogs Sinner and Alcaraz compete, they are inevitably among the Cincinnati Masters favorites for 2025. This is also reflected in the betting odds offered by bookmakers.
Alexander Zverev is ranked third in the world and is therefore number 3 in the Cincinnati Open seedings. He is also in good form, reaching the semi-finals of the Toronto Masters.
The question is: in what condition will Sinner and Alcaraz return to the big tennis stage? The duo has not played a tournament since Wimbledon and has been nursing various injuries.
Nevertheless, they are among the favorites to win the title before the tournament begins. However, there are others in the circle of contenders for the Cincinnati Open title – alongside Zverev, for example, the two Americans Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton, who are seeded fourth and fifth respectively.
If we take the results of the Toronto Masters as a reference for the Cincinnati Open prediction, then Alex de Minaur (AUS) and Andrej Rublev (RUS) could also be among the favorites.
According to the world rankings, however, Holger Rune (DEN/ATP No. 9) and Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti, ranked tenth in the world, are also contenders.
The Americans should not be underestimated with their home advantage: In addition to Fritz and Shelton, Tommy Paul and Frances Tiafoe (last year’s Cincinnati finalist) as well as the three youngsters Alex Michelsen, Sebastian Korda and Brandon Nakashima are among the dark horses for the 2025 Cincinnati Masters.
The top 16 of the 2025 Cincy Masters seedings
