The path through the knockout stages of the FIFA Club World Cup is clearly laid out in the Club World Cup tournament tree.
The first half of the Club World Cup tournament tree contains the round of 16 matches 1, 2, 5, and 6. The other half consists of the round of 16 matches 3, 4, 7, and 8.
The winners of groups A, C, G, and E will continue on the left side, while the winners of groups B, D, F, and H will continue on the right side of the Club World Cup tournament tree.

Club World Cup tournament tree – this is how the round of 16 looks
The first match in the Club World Cup round of 16 will be between the winner of Group A (Palmeiras Sao Paolo) and Botafogo, the runner-up in Group B. The second round of 16 match will be a European clash between Benfica Lisbon (first in Group C) and Chelsea (second in Group D).
This will be followed by Round of 16 match 3, with Group B winner Paris St. Germain taking on Inter Miami, the second-placed team in Group A, and Round of 16 match 4, with Flamengo (1st in Group D) facing the second-placed team in Group C – FC Bayern.
The fifth round of 16 match in the Club World Cup tournament tree is between Inter Milan (Group E winner) and Fluminense (Group F runner-up). Round of 16 match 6 is between Manchester City, who finished first in Group G, and Al Hilal, who finished second in Group H.
Game 7 of the first knockout round will be between Real Madrid (winner of Group H) and Juventus Turin (second in Group G). The last round of 16 game in the 2025 Club World Cup tournament tree will be between Borussia Dortmund (first in Group F) and Monterrey (second in Group E).
FC Bayern’s Club World Cup tournament tree: As second in Group C, the Brazilian club Flamengo Rio de Janeiro, winner of Group D, awaits in the round of 16.
