20th matchday: the over/under bets for the Bundesliga
That’s how it should be! Last weekend, all three predictions were correct. Thanks again to Augsburg’s Keven Schlotterbeck and Pauli’s Danel Sinani, who made my haul perfect with their goals in injury time.
Those who played the three individual bets in a combo were able to enjoy an overall odds of just over 10.0. Of course, I am also aiming for the maximum of three correct tips again in the Bundesliga over-/under-bets for the 20th matchday.
I’m also betting on some of last weekend’s winners. But first, it’s off to the far north, where Bremen, still winless in 2025, welcome in-form Mainz.
We then move on to the aforementioned Kiezkicker and Fuggerstädter, who face off against each other and want to continue their winning streak.
Finally, our journey takes us to Leverkusen, where Bayer welcomes TSG Hoffenheim. While I expect at least three goals in the first two matches, there may be one or two more in the BayArena.
Bremen – Mainz 31.01.2025, 15:30 o’clock
Bremen were unable to win their fourth Bundesliga game of 2025 either, but did manage to take a point from Dortmund after trailing 2-0. However, the draw was certainly helped by the fact that Werder were playing with an extra man for over 70 minutes. SVW have scored at least twice in five of their last six games.
They have scored a total of 13 goals in these last five matches, an average of 2.6 goals per game. The only game in which the green-whites did not score was the 2-0 defeat to Augsburg in their last home game. Before that, they had scored at least two goals in five consecutive home games.
Mainz has shaken off the two consecutive away defeats and won again last weekend. At home, they recorded a 2-0 victory against runners-up Stuttgart. It was their seventh win in the last ten match days (3N). In the form table of the last ten match days, the FSV is in third place behind Bayer and Bayern.
The “Nullfünfer” have lost three of the previous nine away games in this Bundesliga season. All three away defeats occurred in the last four away games. In these three defeats, more than half of the 13 away goals conceded (7) were scored. The carnival club has already scored 19 times away from home.
Werder have only failed to score once in their last nine competitive games, while FSV have only gone without scoring in one of their last ten games. 13 of Werder’s 19 Bundesliga games so far this season have ended with three or more goals. In the case of the nil-fiveers, there have been at least three goals in the game in seven of their nine away games.

St. Pauli – Augsburg 01/02/2025, 3:30 pm
With two 0-1 defeats against Frankfurt and bottom-of-the-league Bochum, St. Pauli got off to a poor start to the new year. However, the Kiezkicker recently turned the tables and won two consecutive games without conceding a goal. They scored a total of five goals in the 2-0 win in Heidenheim and the 3-0 win against Union Berlin.
With 17 goals, the FCSP is “only” the second-weakest offense ahead of Union Berlin, but it scored almost a third of all goals in the last two matchdays. In the 3-0 win against the Irons last matchday, Pauli scored the same number of goals as in the first eight Bundesliga home matches this season.
Thanks to a goal in each half of extra time, Augsburg celebrated a last-minute home win against Heidenheim (2:1). This was the third win in a row for the FCA. The only other team to have won three games in a row in the last three matchdays were Bayern.
In each of these last three successes, the Fuggerstadt team scored exactly twice. Away from home, they have won their last two games at Union Berlin and in Bremen, both 2-0 victories without conceding a goal. They won the first leg against their upcoming opponents 3-1 at home.
Both clubs have been on a roll recently. They are neighbors in the table, separated by five points. Especially the Kiezkicker should be on top form after two consecutive clean sheets, and the three home goals against the Berliners should inspire the promoted team.

Leverkusen – Hoffenheim 02/02/2025, 17:30 hrs
Despite a 2-0 lead, Leverkusen had to settle for a 2-2 draw in the top match at RB Leipzig last weekend. The gap to Bayern has grown to six points. In addition, Bayer had to leave the field again after eight Bundesliga wins in a row.
With 46 goals, the “Werkself” has the second-best offense behind the Munich team. On the other hand, they have conceded 26 goals after 19 match days. The double winner has only managed to keep a clean sheet once in the last five Bundesliga games. Bayer has not beaten TSG in seven games.
Hoffenheim also played 2-2 last weekend. Unlike their opponents, the point at home against Frankfurt was a winning one in view of twice trailing and equalizing with the final whistle. Nevertheless, it remains only one victory in the last eight Bundesliga match days.
TSG have scored in nine of their last ten meetings with Bayer. Most recently, this was the case seven times in a row. However, 1899 have only won one of the last nine meetings with the Werkself (2W, 6D). There have also been at least three goals in the game in nine of the last ten direct duels between the two teams.
In six and thus in over half of the last nine meetings between B04 and TSG, there were even at least four goals in the game. In the first half of the season, the double winners won clearly 4-1 away and celebrated their fourth consecutive win against the Kraichgauers. In these last four duels, Bayer scored twelve goals.
I expect another high-scoring match between these two clubs and am betting on the Leverkusen Hoffenheim tip “Over 3.5 goals” at odds of 1.95 at Interwetten. In this context, a look at the Interwetten Freebet Code is also recommended.
