Derby time in the Premier League! Tottenham and Chelsea face each other early on Sunday evening and the hosts in particular are under pressure after their recent results.
They have slipped down the table after a decent start to the new season. It is only thanks to the weak phase of other clubs that the gap has not widened.

The Blues are likely to keep their eyes on the top. After Liverpool only drew during the week, they were able to close the gap on the league leaders by two points.

Derbies are always a thing of their own. You can see that in games like the Merseyside derby or here in Germany when Dortmund and Schalke faced each other.

Ange Postecoglu had his mouth full before the season. Having always won a title in his second year at his previous clubs, he promised silverware this time around too.
But as we all know, Spurs are as good at winning titles as Bayer Leverkusen were in this country until last summer. And I’m not going too far out on a limb when I say that the league title is unlikely to be won.
As is so often the case, it’s the games against the supposedly smaller teams that break their backs. They dropped points against Ipswich and Fulham and also came away empty-handed at Crystal Palace. During the week they lost against Bournemouth… Bournemouth!

Chelsea still in the flow?
The situation is completely different at Stamford Bridge. There, on the one hand, the coach has not been too full of himself. Instead, Maresca has achieved the almost impossible.

A game that has always produced spectacular incidents recently can once again provide plenty of excitement.
It’s not for nothing that an average of 2.75 goals have been scored per game so far. As the Blues have only lost one of their last eleven London derbies (7S, 3U), I see them as having a slight advantage.
