While several Italian Serie A clubs competed internationally during the week, Juve will have to be patient for a few more months before the famous Champions League anthem might sound again for the Old Lady!
Meanwhile, in my Turin FC Juventus betting tip, which is available to you free of charge, I expect a city derby with few events. With Dusan Vlahovic up front, Juve could find it extremely difficult to score a goal here …
It seems as if Juventus will get their act together just before the end.
Not because the championship is at stake again, because the drop in performance over the New Year was too blatant for that! But at least two declared minimum goals for the 2023/24 season could soon be fulfilled: Coppa Italia & Champions League participation.
After Juve gained revenge against Lazio in the cup semi-final for the previous 1-0 defeat in the league, they recently secured an important Serie A treble with a 1-0 win against Fiorentina, which will probably also pay off in the final standings
The famous “Derby della Mole” is now on the agenda for Juventus, but it’s not really a rivalry of equals.
After all, the Old Lady has not won more Serie A matches against any other Italian club than against their pitiful neighbors from the beautiful Piedmontese industrial city (77).
Nevertheless, Torino FC are also aiming for a place in the European Cup.
Although this would still require a lot of help, the “Toro” are still in need of additional points at this late stage of the season, unlike in previous seasons in the mid-table…
You may be surprised at this point that, given the fact that Juventus have not lost any of their last 17 Serie A games against Torino, I’m only going to go for a double chance X2 bet (13 wins, 4 draws).
However, although Juve have also won the last three head-to-head meetings, it has never happened in the course of this long rivalry that the Old Lady have won four games in a row against their neighbors.
So I’m reluctant to mess with the secret laws of soccer! Especially as the Toro are currently offering their fans some really good soccer and have prevented teams like Fiorentina (0-0) and Napoli (1-1) from scoring a treble since March
The fact that Torino FC have already scored ten times at home this season certainly speaks in their favor. A tally that no other club in the league can beat. Even Inter and Bologna can only draw level here (10).
However, the fact that the home side have lost five of their last seven Serie A games against teams who were in one of the top three places in the table on the day of the clash speaks against them.
Therefore, I maintain that a DC-X2 bet gives me the greatest possible certainty, even if an additional condition is needed to be able to place a worthwhile single bet at odds of just 1.31.
I came across an interesting additional condition for my Turin FC Juventus betting tip in the offer of the bookmaker Crazybuzzer, which promises odds of around 2.87 for a goal by Dusan Vlahovic.
The hot-headed Serbian recently served a red ban and was still injured in the first-round duel against the Toro, but he made a decisive contribution to Juve’s upswing in April with his goals and good performances.
Also interesting: In the Bianconeri’s last away game at the Olimpico die Torino in the first half of the 2022/23 season, the talented striker scored the only goal in that edition of the Derby della Mole
Meanwhile, Juve have all their key players apart from Fagioli and Pogba, who have been found guilty of doping, with the exception of Arkadiusz Milik, of course, who is still struggling with a muscle injury. This absence could also have an impact on the expected total number of goals.
Personally, I expect a low-scoring affair in which a goal from Dusan Vlahovic could once again make the difference. In any case, I’m not moving away from a DC X2 & Under 3.5 goals type of combo bet.
Those who consider the under 3.5 goals condition too cautious might be right. In fact, I think the probability of this game going into half-time with a goalless draw is disproportionately high.
Interestingly, Torino have never trailed after 45 minutes in their 15 Serie A home games this season; 12 times it has been a draw at half-time.
On the other hand, since I don’t believe that “Toro” will score the first goal of the game, a 0:0 is the most promising half-time bet for me, even more than a 1:0 for Juve.
Conclusion: I have certainly taken a very cautious approach in my Turin FC Juventus prediction, as I have included under 3.5 goals, although one goal less is certainly to be expected in this match.
Finally, with Arkadiusz Milik out as a strike partner for Dusan Vlahovic, the Bianconeri’s forward line lacks the punch needed to tyrannize their neighbors for 90 minutes.
That doesn’t mean, however, that the Serbian won’t be left to his own devices to ensure an identical performance to his last outing at the Olimpico di Torino, when he scored the only goal of the game…
My prediction: Double chance X2 & Under 3.5 goals!
