Broadcast & time: Who is showing UFC 317 live?

In Germany, UFC events are broadcast in full on the sports streaming service DAZN. This also applies to the UFC 317 broadcast.

DAZN will begin its UFC 317 broadcast on Saturday night (June 29) with the main card starting at 4:00 a.m. CEST.

The DAZN broadcast will include the four preliminary fights as well as the title fight between Topuria and Oliveira. This will begin at 6:00 a.m. German time.

A few hours earlier, DAZN will also exclusively broadcast the boxing match between Jake Paul and Julio Chavez.

A second option for UFC 317 coverage this weekend is UFC Fightpass.

The UFC’s in-house streaming service will broadcast the entire event live – from the first fight of the preliminaries to the main card bouts and the title fight between Topuria and Oliveira.

UFC Fightpass also offers comprehensive coverage with interviews and analysis. All with original US commentary.

The UFC 317 Fight Card

The main card of the UFC 317 Fight Card begins with the bantamweight duel between Payton Talbott and Felipe Lima. This will be followed by the lightweight battle between Beneil Dariush and Renato Moicano.

When the two are done with each other, flyweights Brandon Royval and Joshua Van will enter the cage.

Next up in the co-main event is the second flyweight duel, which is also a title fight in this division: reigning champion Alexandre Pantoja will face challenger Kai Kara-France.

This will be followed by the lightweight title fight between Ilia Topuria and Charles Oliveira.

Islam Makhachev, the reigning lightweight division title holder, is putting his title on the line as he seeks to climb to the top of the welterweight division. This means the gold belt is up for grabs, and Ilia Topuria and Charles Oliveira will now battle it out for it at UFC 317.

What’s interesting is that Oliveira is currently only number 2 in the lightweight rankings, while Ila Topuria is number 3 – but in the featherweight division.

Who will be the new lightweight champion?

Ilia Topuria has dominated the UFC featherweight division at will. He has won all nine of his fights in the elite MMA league.

In February 2024, the 28-year-old Georgian, who was born in Germany and grew up in Spain, became the featherweight champion. Topuria defended this title in October 2024 against Max Holloway.

“El Matador” has now relinquished this title because he wants to conquer the lightweight division. And in his very first appearance in the new weight class, Topuria could make himself comfortable on the throne – if he wins against Oliveira at UFC 317.

If the UFC 317 predictions and the Topuria vs. Oliveira betting odds from the bookmakers are anything to go by, then the chances are looking good: Topuria is the clear favorite going into the cage!

Topuria vs. Oliveira head-to-head

However, Charles Oliveira could prove to be a very tough opponent.

The 35-year-old Brazilian has had a rather mixed run in recent years, alternating between defeats and victories in his last four UFC fights (most recently against Michael Chandler in November last year), but he knows what it feels like to be a champion.

In 2021, Oliveira won the lightweight gold belt and successfully defended it. His reign came to an end in October 2022 against Islam Makhachev. It was only his second defeat in his UFC career.

What will make Oliveira so dangerous for Topuria in the UFC 317 title fight: his skills on the ground! Oliveira holds the most submission victories in UFC history! He has won 16 times by submission – ten times in lightweight fights alone.

This means that Topuria will have to defeat Oliveira in stand-up combat. He has the punching power to do so. The Georgian Spaniard won five of his nine UFC victories by knockout.
