Union Berlin – Bayern betting tip, AI prediction & odds 15.03.2025

Bundesliga matchday 26, Saturday, 15.03.2025 at 15:30

What a completely crazy 25th matchday! In our 1st Bundesliga tips, virtually nothing went as we had imagined and predicted. Time to put everything back into perspective. In my current Union Berlin Bayern betting tip, I’ll tell you why I expect Munich to be very strong.

I’m therefore betting on a win with a handicap of -1. Although the German record champions are coming out of the Champions League, the demonstration of power against Leverkusen will, in my opinion, make their chest a little broader again.

After the defeat against Bochum, Munich will also want to show a reaction in the Bundesliga. The Irons may have won against Frankfurt recently, but the impressions of the recent home defeats (they also lost to Kiel) still resonate with me.

That’s why I’m not expecting a surprise or even a sensation at the Alte Försterei on Saturday afternoon. With the international break coming up in a few days’ time, FCB certainly don’t need to economize on their strength.

So will it be an uncomfortable Saturday for the Union side? That’s not out of the question, as they also suffered a 5-1 defeat at home to Bayern in their last match. The scorer of the double on that occasion was Thomas Müller – a repeat performance would probably be even more surprising than Bayern stumbling to victory!

The oddsmakers’ prediction?

Union Berlin have never won against FC Bayern. Of course, that alone makes our Apple Pay bookmakers refrain from predicting a win and give you average odds of 7.50.

You don’t even need to bet on a Munich win, unless you’re happy with odds of around 1.35. So far, Munich have only once failed to score three points straight after not winning a league game.

A draw would of course be far too little for the visitors. Two of the last four duels at the Alte Försterei have ended in a draw, just to give you some encouragement if you really want to take the risk of the 5.2 odds.

AI prediction Union Berlin vs Bayern: ChatGPT

Has the AI got everything under control for this game? When I take a first look at the suggested bets, I have my doubts, at least here and there, as to whether ChatGPT is right with the predictions this time.

The high-risk betting tip foresees a win for the home side. Since they even lost their last home game against Kiel and have never won against Bayern, I can’t imagine that happening.

How many goals will be scored? The AI suggests betting on “over 3.5”. Theoretically, this is possible, as FCB have already scored five times twice at Union. But: Union have only scored ten times at home, so I wouldn’t necessarily bet on a spectacle.

Harry Kane is the focus of ChatGPT, not untypical! The Englishman has now gone four games without a goal. Since he shone in the Champions League in the first and second leg, I definitely support this bet, it’s time for a goal again.

Analysis: Union Berlin vs Bayern

Start a Bundesliga analysis with a look into the European Cup – sometimes that’s a must! Bayern won the second leg of their round of 16 tie against Leverkusen 2:0 last Tuesday.

So on aggregate, they knocked out their championship rivals by a clear margin, advancing to the last eight with a 5:0 win. But what happened to these strong Bavarians last weekend?

After a great deal of rotation, they lost 2:3 to Bochum after leading 2:0, embarrassing themselves to the bone. Important: Leverkusen suffered a similar fate, with the Werkself losing 2-0 to Bremen.

The lead has therefore remained the same, with FCB still leading by eight points. Bayern have only failed to win twice in a row once this season.

Rating Analysis

Will Bayern make short work of Union? After their commanding performance in the top flight, I can well imagine that they won’t want to leave anything to chance in Berlin either. That’s why I’m betting on a half-time lead, and the corresponding odds at Interwetten are 1.77.

Incidentally, there’s also a free bet waiting for you here that you shouldn’t miss out on. Berlin have not scored in three of their last five home games, with ten home goals to their name. So why not bet on a Bavarian victory at zero? The odds are definitely worth it at 2.20.

If I had to choose a result bet, I would go for a calm 2-0 win for the visitors. Three of the last four games against Union have gone goalless, and the home side have also lost 2-0 to Augsburg and Bochum. The odds at Betano are 7.30.

Union Berlin vs. Bayern: Will Bayern have to tremble?

Very few expect a repeat of Bayern’s double point loss, even though the results away from home are tighter than at home. The recent 3-1 win in Stuttgart was the first away victory since a 5-0 win over Bochum in October, which was more than a goal ahead.

This is, of course, complaining at a high level, as the German record champions still hold the best away results in all statistics. If you want to take a risk, then perhaps the “double chance 1X” after the first half

Why? Quite simply because FCB have only gone into the dressing room with a lead once since the beginning of November. At Betano, the odds for this bet jump to 1.95.

I’ve already recommended the Kane goal bet to you in the course of the AI bets. In the first leg against Union, he scored two goals and set up the third, which also suggests that he will score on Saturday.

The next home defeat for Union?

However, Aleksandar Pavlovic (glandular fever) and Palhinha (red suspension) will be absent. Union Berlin should know: That alone only increases our chances of victory to a limited extent.

Last weekend, the team from the capital surprised everyone by securing a 2-1 win at Eintracht Frankfurt. This was not necessarily to be expected, as they had previously suffered three consecutive defeats.

The 0:1 against Holstein Kiel was particularly alarming. 0:6 at crisis Dortmund, 1:2 against Gladbach, was the three-pointer against Eintracht perhaps just lucky? Perhaps a little, as SGE missed a penalty at the end, but the performance was still decent.

Now the Iron must also manage to find their way back to their old strength in their own stadium. They have only won one of their last nine home games, but that’s not enough

0:1 against Kiel, 0:2 against Augsburg, 0:2 against Bochum? You really can’t lose to these rivals by zero! They have only scored ten goals at home, with only St. Pauli and Heidenheim undercutting this figure.

Eight of these ten goals were scored before the break. I take a quick look back at Betano, because I want to find out whether the bet “Union will NOT score in the second half” will pay off on Saturday. A 1.50 is due, so if you like the low risk, you can strike here.

Incidentally, Union Berlin have already won twice in a row this season, beating Dortmund and Kiel in October. Can the win against BVB be seen as a good omen?

Or the one against St. Pauli on the second matchday? I’ll tell you why, of course: because there was an international break immediately afterwards, and that’s exactly the case this time too. There was also one in November, when Union drew 0-0 against Freiburg.

My Union Berlin Bayern tip:

Bayern dominated Leverkusen, now they have to respond to their slip-up against Bochum in the Bundesliga! The performances against the Werkself were very dominant, and if the Irons get a taste of this strength, it could be an unpleasant Saturday.

Union are anything but strong at home at the moment and also lack almost all the power in attack. I therefore can’t imagine that we’ll see anything other than a Bayern victory.

What’s more, I think it’s quite possible that Munich will want to put down another marker. Since five of the last seven matches against Union have been very clear-cut, I’m betting on the following this time:

Bayern beat Union by at least two goals!
