After two disappointing half-seasons and two second-round loan spells at FC Schalke 04 and Darmstadt, Tim Skarke finally seems to have arrived at Union Berlin. The 28-year-old attacking player, who only made six competitive appearances for the Köpenickers in two years, has played in all four competitive matches for Union in the still young season – and has now extended his contract with the club. “With Tim, we’re retaining a player who gives his all every day. Regardless of whether it’s in training or in a game,” said a delighted managing director Horst Heldt, who did not specify the duration of the contract.
