With the European Championship barely over, we can already turn our attention to the upcoming World Cup! The battle for places has been raging in South America for some time now, and now the qualifiers are entering the next round.

On Saturday night, the current runners-up will face a team that tends to struggle offensively. In my Uruguay Paraguay betting tip, I’ll tell you why I’m not expecting the most spectacular game and why I’m ruling out an away win!

As Paraguay were eliminated directly after three defeats and have only won once in qualifying, my double chance 1X is certain. Although Uruguay are known for their slightly more offensive games, the visitors are the exact opposite.

They never score more than one goal per game, and the last direct duels were usually not spectacular. For this reason, I opt for the following bet:
