USA – Brazil betting tip, prediction & odds 13.06.2024

Friendly match, Thursday, 13.06.2024

The days are numbered: The Copa América is just around the corner! While Europe is looking forward to a spectacular tournament on German soil, the South American teams are also positioning themselves to be fit for their biggest competition outside of a World Cup.

One of the absolute top favorites is only slowly getting into shape and will face the number 11 team in the world on Thursday night – but is still heavily favored. In my USA Brazil betting tip, I’ll tell you why I would go for the BTS bet here:

It was a strange year for record world champions Brazil, one in which they couldn’t really explain exactly what was going on at the end. Three defeats and a draw – that’s how they ended 2023!

0:2 against Uruguay, 1:2 against Colombia and 0:1 against Argentina, followed by a 1:1 draw against Venezuela – the fans rubbed their eyes in amazement. They also lost test matches against Morocco and Senegal, the Seleção have rarely been this weak

The Copa América starts in a few weeks’ time, this time in the USA. The Brazilians know how much is expected of them, having already played three matches in preparation.

In March, they tested themselves against two really strong opponents, and after the poor results of the previous year, the fans were quite tense. They then won 1:0 against England and drew 3:3 against Spain

Sounds good, but of course we have to look at these results in more detail. The winning goal against the Three Lions came in the 80th minute, while Spain equalized in the last second of stoppage time.

All that glitters is gold? Not really, and so Brazil also took part in a test against Mexico a few days ago. And lo and behold: the luck from the game against Spain had not run out, quite the opposite in fact!

In the 92nd minute of the game, the five-time world champions conceded an equalizer, but actually struck back in the sixth minute of stoppage time. 3:2, another late, lucky victory.

3:3 and 3:2 – neutral soccer fans naturally love matches like these. Does the one against the USA fall into the same category? 17 wins, one draw (with a win after extra time) and a single defeat – the direct comparison reads incredibly

No question, the USA are one of Brazil’s absolute favorite opponents. The two nations last met head-to-head in September 2018, with the favorites winning six of the last seven encounters by at least two goals to one.

It is therefore not surprising that our bookmakers have a clear favorite here. Brazil are clearly ahead of their opponents with average odds of 1.52 to 4.55, no doubt also due to their history.

By the way: You can of course not only place your bets on the match in question with the bookies, but also secure all bonus offers for the upcoming European Championship.

The USA have worked their way up to eleventh place in the world rankings, so there’s not much to criticize at first glance. The US boys have seen it all this year, most recently a minor disaster

A few days ago, they suffered a disastrous 1:5 in a test match against Colombia and were completely without a chance. Back in March, on the other hand, their own fans were much, much happier to watch.

Why? Well, because their team took the crown in the Nations League. 3:1 after extra time against Jamaica and 2:0 against Mexico (remember, Brazil won 3:2 against this opponent), strong performances

The competitive matches were successfully completed, but unfortunately not the games where nothing was at stake. The test against Slovenia had already resulted in a 1-0 defeat in January

Brazil are often regarded as the best team in the world, but the Seleção are not quite as strong at the moment. Although the results are improving compared to 2023, they are accompanied by a lot of bad luck.

Late goals, a few goals conceded, the nation is still not where it wants to be. The USA won the Nations League some time ago and are ranked number 11 in the world.

There aren’t really any major differences between them and Brazil, but the direct comparison clearly favors the Seleção. As I don’t underestimate the US team at all and Brazil are far too inconsistent, I’m going for the following tip!

Both teams will score!
