Valencia – Las Palmas betting tip, prediction & odds 10/21/2024

La Liga, Monday, 10/21/2024 at 9:00 pm

Seldom has the term “crisis summit” been more appropriate than for this Monday game! In our La Liga tips, I now look at two clubs that are hardly getting anything done and are at the bottom of the league.

My Valencia Las Palmas betting tip is actually only about one question: who is more insecure? I will try to find an answer to this. I will also tell you why I would bet defensively and why I have picked the “Under 2.5 goals” bet.

There can only be one team that gives the red lantern – and in the Primera Division that is Las Palmas. The Amarillos are the only team without a win, a measly three points have been scored.

Those who find positive facts recognize that there have been own goals in seven of the nine matches. Real Madrid, Betis Sevilla or Bilbao have scored, and these are really not bad opponents.

It’s more difficult when I look at the defense. There has never been a clean sheet, and in six of the nine matches, the home team has conceded at least twice.

Ultimately, Las Palmas may be winless, but it’s not as if the team is always without a chance. Drawing against Real Madrid or Betis Sevilla shows that they have quality!

The problem: It is the home games that give positive impressions. All three draws were achieved here, which in turn means that there has not yet been a single point away from home.

1:2 against Leganes, 0:2 at Alaves, 1:2 in Osasuna and 1:3 against Villarreal, one defeat followed hot on the heels of the other. Did their away weakness come to light last season as well?

With 11 defeats from 19 games, I can answer this question with “yes”. There were 13 points here. Since they have scored at least once in three of four matches in the current season, it might be worth placing a corresponding bet.

At Oddset, the tip that Las Palmas will score exactly once on Monday has odds of 2.50. This seems like a good time to take a look at the history between Las Palmas and Valencia.

The results have been alternating for years, but at the same time, I can immediately see that Valencia has only lost one home game in the league against the upcoming opponent since 1978.

Valencia won the last two home games 1-0. Maybe place a bet on this result? At Happybet we get odds of 5.50 for this.

Speaking of odds, the guests know that, as an unbeaten away team, they naturally play the role of the underdog. With values of 4.80, they travel to Valencia, where they face the hosts, who start the race with a 1.75.

So Valencia are favorites, but the Blanquinegros are still not satisfied. They have only won once, 2-0 against Girona, and their six points after nine rounds are anything but stable.

The big problem is the attack. A measly five goals have been scored, which is the joint-lowest total along with Real Valladolid and Leganes. In four of the last five matches, no goals were scored at all.

And that despite the fact that their most recent opponents, Leganes and Real Sociedad, are also in the bottom three. Nevertheless, Valencia is getting back to its stable form at home.

After losing their first home game of the season 1-2 to FC Barcelona, despite taking the lead, they have drawn twice and won once, against Girona.

Encouragingly, they have only conceded one goal in these three games. Valencia, incidentally, is a club that is dogged by bad luck. Whenever they score, the opposing team always scores first to make it 1-0 – but this lead has only held once so far.

What odds does a 1-0 win on Monday bring in? There is still a narrow 1.60 odds in Oddset, which sounds effective. Incidentally, with seven goals scored, the previous four home games were anything but spectacular.

A successful start to the season? Neither Valencia nor Las Palmas have managed that. The Amarillos have not yet won at all, but they are always involved in close matches. For the hosts, the main focus is on their harmless offense.

Valencia are hardly scoring, and no one is weaker in attack. But what is improving is their performance in their own stadium, and Las Palmas have only conceded defeats away from home.

Given Valencia’s offensive output, I can only assume that we will see anything but a spectacle on Monday. That’s why I recommend the following tip:

The 2.5 goals will not be broken!
