Vojvodina – Red Star Tip, Prediction & Odds 21.05.2025

Serbia Cup Final, Wednesday, 21.05.2025 at 18:00

It’s time for the cup finals! While we only have to wait a few more days for the final in Germany, the kick-off in Serbia is already on Wednesday. And hand on heart: who else but Red Star should be on top in the end?

In my Red Star Belgrade Vojvodina betting tip, I naturally try to find out what could speak in favor of the underdog. In terms of a betting recommendation, however, I can only go by the bookmakers and say: The favorite wins a game by more than 1.5 goals.

Anybody who follows Serbian soccer from time to time will know: There is usually no way around Red Star Belgrade. The team leads the championship competition by a large margin, having only managed two draws in the regular season.

It is therefore quite understandable that Belgrade have already made three slip-ups in the championship round, which is almost over. 1:1 against Vojvodina and 3:3 against Novi Pazar, with none of the six play-off games going to nil and twelve goals conceded, a conspicuous downward trend

But as I said, the title has long since been wrapped up, so the tension can no longer really be kept up. 36 games have been played – only FIVE of them had fewer than 2.5 goals.

Accordingly, it is almost a little surprising how profitable the “Over 2.5 goals” odds are. At Bwin you can secure a strong 1.70 with this bet

Is it because the dress rehearsal against Vojvodina a few days ago ended with a 1:1? It definitely can’t have anything to do with Red Star’s cup results.

7:0 against Tekstilac, 5:3 against OFK Belgrade, 2:1 against Novi Pazar and 4:2 against Napredak – the spectators were treated to some highlights. Interesting for you: In all four games, the team netted twice before the break.

16 of the 24 goals were scored in the first half. Now you can of course say: The first half will also be the higher scoring half on Wednesday. The Bwin odds give you a value of 3.00 for this.

Over 1.5 goals for the favorite before the break? With 3.75, the odds are even higher. Belgrade is generally favored in this final anyway, as illustrated by the average odds of 1.40 to 6.00.

22 wins and four draws, the history provides evidence of this. Vojvodina is not an opponent to be afraid of, with the two duels this season ending 5:3 and 3:0.

In addition, the Red Star is the four-time defending champion. When they have lost in the cup final, which was the case in 2017 and 2019, it was to Partizan. The last time the final was between Red Star Belgrade and Vojvodina was in 2024, with the favorites winning 2:1.

It is therefore perfectly clear which team will march onto the pitch on Wednesday as the favorite and which as the underdog. Has Vojvodina ever won the Serbian Cup before?

The team actually came out on top in 2020, but lost the final 2-1 to Red Star in 2024. While their opponents’ cup results were unrivaled in terms of spectacle, Vojvodina’s record is somewhat different

1:0 against Radnicki, 3:1 against Graficar, 1:0 against Radnicki Nis and 2:0 against Topola, the number of goals drops significantly. Of course, it is interesting that only one goal has been conceded, Belgrade is taking much more risks here

The Red & Whites are still fighting for a good position in the league, so they can’t let it slip away here. Having only won one of their last four playoff games, I don’t see the team being at their absolute best.

The immensely important match against Partizan is just a few days after the cup final, and the current third place is in acute danger. The date of the final doesn’t exactly suit Vojvodina

Whenever the Red Star from Belgrade plays in the national competition, it is favored. I can certainly make this statement, especially as Partizan, regularly at the top as arch-rivals, are weakening in 2024/25.

Accordingly, I can’t imagine Vojvodina having a chance on Wednesday. The favorites have a brutally strong offense that has already conceded nine goals to Vojvodina this season.

The Belgrade attack is definitely the best in the country, and by a wide margin. That’s why I’ve decided to bet on an entertaining final:

Belgrade win by over 1.5 goals!
