Leonardo Bittencourt’s expiring contract will not be extended. This was announced by Werder Bremen on Tuesday evening after talks with the 31-year-old midfielder, who has been playing for SVW since 2019 and has since played in 179 competitive games in green and white. “Our discussions about the future have always been open, honest and respectful,” explained Bittencourt, who will leave the club next summer. “That’s exactly why it feels right to communicate my departure clearly now.”
