When is the next event on the WWE calendar for 2025?
The next WWE event in 2025 is Summerslam.
WWE Summerslam 2025 will take place on August 2. The venue for the summer wrestling show is Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford near New York (USA).
It will start at 2:00 a.m. CEST on Sunday (August 3). The show will be broadcast live in Germany on the WWE Network.

Prosieben MAXX or Netflix: How will WWE be broadcast in Germany?
Where will WWE shows be broadcast in Germany this year? On Prosieben MAXX, WWE Network or Netflix?
The new partnership between WWE and Netflix (a 10-year contract worth a total of $5 billion) will begin in 2025. This means that the big WWE shows and the weekly RAW and Smackdown episodes will be available to watch live on Netflix.
With the change, the WWE Network will no longer be available in many international markets starting January 1, 2025. Wrestling fans in countries such as England, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and the Netherlands will need a Netflix subscription starting January 2025 to continue watching WWE shows live.
However, this new WWE/Netflix deal does not include all countries. Nothing will change for German-speaking countries, including Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
The reason: There are existing contracts with ProSieben MAXX and JOYN that run until the end of March 2026. This means that the WWE Network will continue to be available in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Next WWE event in 2025: Summerslam in August
The next event on the WWE calendar for 2025 will take place in early August.
WWE Summerslam 2025 will take place on August 3. The venue is Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford near New York.
SummerSlam has been a fixture on the WWE event calendar since 1988. SummerSlam’s return to Michigan comes exactly 30 years after the 1993 edition in Auburn Hills (a suburb of Detroit). Back then, Lex Luger failed in his mission to take the WWE title from Yokozuna.
The match card for the next WWE event in 2025 is still to be announced.
When is WWE Clash in Paris 2025?
The next WWE event in 2025 will take place in Europe – in Paris, to be precise.
“WWE Clash in Paris,” as the next WWE event in 2025 this summer is called, will take place on August 31, 2025, in the French capital at the “La Défense Arena.”
This venue, which usually hosts rugby matches, can accommodate almost 40,000 spectators. This will make it the largest WWE event on the European mainland.
It will be the first “Premium Live Event” for WWE in the French capital. Last year, “Backlash,” as the event was officially called in previous years, also took place in France, in Lyon.
It is still unclear which stars will be appearing at “WWE Clash in Paris” on August 31. There has been no official confirmation from WWE yet. However, superstars such as John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Gunther, Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, etc. are expected to appear.

Next WWE event in November 2025: “Crown Jewel”
When is the next PPV event on the 2025 WWE calendar? After guest appearances in Europe and appearances in the US, WWE will be in Australia in October with Crown Jewel.
On October 11, Perth will host the “WWE Crown Jewel” event, which has become one of the most important and prestigious WWE shows of the year.
This will be the first time the Crown Jewel show will take place outside of Saudi Arabia. Until now, the event has always been held in Riyadh.
It is not yet known which matches and storylines will be featured in this WWE show. However, there have been some big surprises at this show in recent years, such as the appearance of boxing superstar Tyson Fury in 2019.

The next WWE event in 2025 will take place on November 29 and is called “Survivor Series.” The venue is San Diego (USA).

The differences between RAW and SmackDown
When wrestling fans start looking for the next WWE event, the question inevitably arises: What is the difference between Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown?
This is a complex and persistent question, especially for those who are not so familiar with wrestling.
There are three weekly brand shows from the US wrestling promotion WWE – WWE Raw (full title: WWE Monday Night Raw), WWE Smackdown and WWE NXT
Raw is considered the flagship of WWE due to its long history, high ratings, and pay-per-view participation, alongside the smaller Smackdown and WWE NXT. However, Smackdown has become increasingly important in recent years.
The differences at a glance
Both brands can be seen as live shows, but the content and duration of the events vary. The RAW shows run for three hours, while the SmackDown events only last two hours.
There are also differences in content, as RAW focuses on interviews and is structured with segments that are not related to wrestling.
As a result, the shows are longer, while SmackDown focuses more on the action in the ring.
RAW is the format that currently has the bigger names under contract, such as Becky Lynch, Roman Reigns, and Brock Lesnar. AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan are the big names on SmackDown. In addition, there is more focus on the “next generation” here.
There are also differences in the champions: RAW currently has five titles, while SmackDown has only four.
The RAW shows are dominated by the color red, while SmackDown is predominantly associated with blue.
