Timo Schultz has been coach of 1. FC Köln for a good 100 days, but his contract only extends beyond the end of the season if the club stays in the league. Schultz himself had already indicated during the winter training camp that he could imagine staying with FC even in the event of relegation. Now, sporting director Christian Keller and head of the licensing department Thomas Kessler have also sent out signals that continued employment is not automatically linked to league membership
