RevierSport reports that Mike Tullberg is set to succeed Jan Zimmermann as head coach of Borussia Dortmund II from July. The 39-year-old Dane would thus move up from BVB’s U19 team, with whom he won the German championship in 2022. Tullberg, who has been in Dortmund since 2019, took over the BVB Bundesliga team on an interim basis in January following the departure of Nuri Sahin and remained unbeaten in three games before Niko Kovac was appointed head coach. Dortmund’s second team is currently fighting to avoid relegation from the 3rd division.
