Michael Gspurning has long since become a permanent fixture in Union Berlin’s coaching staff, the Austrian has been active as goalkeeping coach since December 2017. According to kicker information, however, the 44-year-old will not extend his expiring contract and will look for a new challenge. Gspurning, who is also goalkeeping coach for the Austrian national team, is flirting with a move to the Premier League, among other things. There is already an interest from clubs from England.
