Wolfsberg – Sturm Graz betting tip, prediction & odds 30/03/2025

Bundesliga Austria, Sunday, 30/03/2025 at 2:30 pm

I don’t know what’s more exciting: a great sports betting bonus or the final stretch of the championship that has recently opened in Austria.

Meanwhile, my Wolfsberger AC Sturm Graz tip assumes that the already very exciting title race will come to a head. Because the guests from Graz could briefly lose the lead in the table.

The championship round has begun, and from now on the fate of the teams that will compete in the Champions or Conference League next year will be decided in Austria.

Crazy as it may seem, the championship race is so close that even Wolfsberger AC could still become champions in the end.

That would be just as surprising as the fact that their upcoming opponents have conquered the football throne in the Alpine Republic after a decade of Salzburg dominance.

I think Wolfsberger AC have a good chance of putting in a decent performance, even though they have recently suffered narrow defeats against both BW Linz (1-2) and Salzburg (0-1).

At home, they have won four of their last five competitive matches and also won the last duel with the Grazers relatively clearly.

It was only in mid-March that Sturm played in Wolfsberg, only to be sent back to Styria by an early double from Zukic and another goal from Schopf after an assist from Ullmann.

For Sturm Graz, this trip feels more like an unpleasant visit to the dentist with a loose tooth in your mouth.

Yes, the “Schwoazn” have won their last two duels against Grazer AK (2:1) and LASK (4:2), but now their defensive leader is missing!

Lavalee was sent off by the referee against Linz recently and was an indispensable element of the defense in the championship season. Without him, the upcoming trip to WAC could also go wrong.

Especially since Sturm have only won one of their last nine games outside of Graz – whether in a test, European Cup or league game – I am skeptical that they will be victorious on Sunday.

Especially since, as already mentioned, their defensive leader is missing. And even with Lavalee, they went down in the Lavanttal Arena a month ago.

In short: the Wolfsberger AC Sturm Graz odds of the betting providers with PayPal are only partially comprehensible to me in this form, even if the guests are only given a slight role as favorites.

On average, odds of 2.30 for a win by the “Schwoazn” are high enough for a fan of the club to believe in an away win at WAC that doesn’t seem impossible.

Personally, however, I am leaning heavily towards a double chance 1X bet with odds of around 1.58 – for me, one of the best Wolfsberg Sturm Graz predictions ever.

I couldn’t find any significantly better betting offers, and I’ll explain why.

Goal betting, for example, I would not recommend to you, because there is really no clear trend to be seen here.

Sturm Graz is the team with the most goals per game in the champions group (3.2 goals on average), while WAC is in last place in this category with only 2.2 goals per game.

Although each of the last five joint competitive matches between these two clubs has indeed repeatedly exceeded the 2.5-goal mark, at odds of around 1.70, I would not immediately place a bet here.

Especially since I think that Graz, due to the suspension of their defensive leader, could set up defensively. This could make the game more likely to go in the direction of a low-scoring 0-0 or 1-1 with few actions in the penalty area.

Conclusion: I am torn, but the reasons that speak for the hosts outweigh the reasons that speak for Wolfsberg, which is why I tend to favor Wolfsberg over the league leaders.

Wolfsberger AC is simply a strong team at home, which has already overwhelmed this opponent at exactly the same venue as on Sunday a month ago.

The long-term departure of Mika Biereth in the winter has weakened the Styrians in the long term, and the same applies to Lavalee’s current suspension. The host should benefit from all of this.

My Wolfsberg Sturm Graz tip: WAC don’t lose.
