There’s a new top team growing up, one that can quietly hear the anthem of the Premier League! Nottingham Forest are the team of the moment in the Premier League and could soon become Liverpool FC’s first rivals in the Championship betting.
On Monday, the trip takes us to a relegation candidate, but one that is currently in a really good mood. So in my Wolverhampton Nottingham betting tip, I’ll tell you why I think both clubs will score at least one goal!
No one seems to be able to get past Liverpool FC! So far so good, let’s assume that the strong Reds don’t collapse. In that case, it will be all the more interesting to see who takes the place behind them.
Hand on heart: How many of you were expecting Nottingham Forest? Probably very few of you! The Tricky Trees are growing in confidence from week to week and are currently on a run of five wins in a row.
3:2 against Manchester United, 2:1 against Aston Villa, 2:0 against Brentford, 1:0 against Tottenham and 2:0 against Everton, so it is also remarkable that the team has not conceded a goal in three games.
They are now only three points behind Arsenal FC, but have been on the pitch less once. Nottingham are now a top team without any ifs and buts and will naturally want to confirm their strong performances on Monday.
26 goals in 19 games? That doesn’t really sound like someone scoring on an assembly line. Up until the beginning of December, the Tricky Trees had only scored a brace three times – but have now managed to do so in four of the last five rounds.
Offensively, the team has improved significantly, which is of course also down to Chris Wood. The attacker is by far the most dangerous man with eleven goals, while his colleagues have scored a maximum of three times.
After three away wins in a row, and always by at least two goals, things are also looking really good away from home. Arsenal and Manchester City? If Nottingham lose away from home at all, it’s only against really big names.
What about Wolverhampton as an opponent? If I take a look at the history, a few very interesting facts catch my eye. The first is, of course, that the last FIVE matches have all ended in a draw!
One win from the last 13 games? That doesn’t exactly sound promising from Nottingham’s point of view. Since four of the last five games have resulted in a 1:1, I have to pay attention to this result bet without any alternative.
At Betano, this bet has odds of 6.20. It is also advisable to take a look at the promo code at Betano. And while I’m on the subject of odds, I can of course also tell you who our bookmakers see ahead.
The odds come to an average of 3.45 to 2.20, so the visitors from Nottingham are ahead. And that’s despite the fact that Wolverhampton Wanderers’ current form really isn’t that bad!
The Yellow and Blacks may only be one point ahead of a relegation place in the table, but they still deserve a few words of praise. Two wins and a draw, and they haven’t lost in three games.
After a 3-0 win against Leicester and a 2-0 win against Manchester United, the game against Tottenham ended 2-2 – and since they only equalized in the 87th minute of the game, they were happy to take the point.
The defensive improvement that was evident against United and Leicester seems to be off the table again. They’ve now conceded 42 times in their own box, and have now conceded more against Southampton and Leicester.
As much as I criticize the team for its defensive work, I can applaud the offense all the more. They only failed to score twice, both times away from home. That means: Wolves always score at home!
Will Nottingham Forest’s streak continue on Monday? It’s really fun to watch the Tricky Trees at the moment. The offense is finally igniting, the team is winning and winning and is also really strong away from home.
Wolverhampton should never be underestimated, of course, because with seven points from the last three matches, the results read very well. Wolves are known to be defensively fragile, but very courageous in attack.
Since the last direct duels were really close, I have decided to play a classic here. And that is:
Both teams meet!
