Samuel Umtiti is ending his career. The 2018 French world champion announced this in a video via Instagram. The center back, who was most recently without a club after his contract in Lille expired, played 31 international matches for the Equipe Tricolore. At club level, the 31-year-old spent most of his career with his youth club Olympique Lyon (2001-2016) and FC Barcelona (2016-2022).
