Granit Xhaka’s future will be decided in the coming days. “There will be a decision this week,” Leverkusen’s managing director Simon Rolfes made clear after the match at VfL Bochum, adding: “Granit’s side is aware of the conditions under which a transfer is possible. If that doesn’t happen, he’ll stay.” Xhaka’s contract runs until summer 2028. The transfer fee is said to be up to €20 million, including all bonuses.
