AC Milan’s interest in Granit Xhaka, which flared up at the beginning of June, has apparently cooled considerably. The reason for this is the financial implications of a transfer of the 32-year-old Swiss player, including his salary. As the package would be in the region of €40 million, it is considered unlikely that the Swiss international will move to the northern Italian club. Although a departure from Leverkusen is not completely off the table, everything currently suggests that Xhaka will resume training at Bayer 04 in July.
