The 14th meets the 16th – that’s not exactly an absolute cracker! To kick off the new Premier League matchday, I now look to the capital, where both sides are searching for form.
Two teams are facing each other there who probably don’t know exactly what to make of their results so far.
In my West Ham Everton betting tip, I’ll tell you exactly why my bet is on the “BTS.”
Top teams in London? There are, and not just one! In fact, West Ham have regularly been one of them in recent years. If they are to achieve a good ranking in 2024/25, the Hammers will have to get into gear at some point.
They are currently languishing in lower mid-table, having won just three of their first ten games. The biggest problem is their fickleness. This can be seen, among other things, in the fact that after all their previous victories, they immediately suffered another defeat.
2:0 against Crystal Palace and 1:3 against Manchester City, 4:1 against Ipswich Town and 1:4 against Tottenham as well as 2:1 against Manchester United and 0:3 against Nottingham Forest – there is no clearer way to show that there are two completely different faces.
As soon as West Ham win, they not only lose, but also concede at least three goals. The club has only conceded once anyway, on matchday two against Crystal Palace
Well, the Londoners have only lost to teams that are in the top seven in the table, but at the same time they have aspirations of being there themselves.
At least I can see that they’ve never lost two games in a row, which must suggest that they’ll pick up at least one point again this weekend.
The home games are improving anyway, as West Ham started with three defeats against Aston Villa, Manchester City and Chelsea at the London Stadium, conceding eight goals in the process.
4:1 against Ipswich and 2:1 against Manchester United, now they are looking for their third win in a row. Will it be the first time ever that they have managed to play to nil in front of their own fans? Everton FC are certainly neither a favorite nor a fearful opponent.
The results have alternated for years, with both clubs winning their respective away games last season. Incidentally, five of the last seven head-to-head meetings have featured NO goals from either side.
Liverpool’s opponents have taken a long time to find their feet in this new season. And now that they have supposedly stabilized, they must fear that the crisis of the beginning will flare up again!
Four defeats and 13 goals conceded, the Toffees got off to a truly horrendous start. The 1:1 draw against Leicester that followed promised a slow improvement, which did indeed materialize at first.
The team remained unbeaten five times in a row, winning twice. Of course, I have to say: With the exception of Newcastle (0-0), there was no opponent who could compete at the top.
The encouraging run came to an abrupt end when Everton lost 1-0 to bottom-of-the-table Southampton of all teams. Now, of course, there are fears that the team will fall back into old patterns.
The Toffees have played five away games so far this season. Interesting fact: Whenever they score goals, which has been the case three times, they also take the lead. So will they also go 1-0 up on Saturday?
Should that happen, top provider Oddset will give you odds of 2.35. And not only that, you can even benefit from a free bet here.
Admittedly, neither West Ham nor Everton FC are in a good mood at the moment. The former have won three times, the latter twice. Nevertheless, the Toffees are probably more anxious, as they lost at the bottom of the table.
Ultimately, of course, it has not escaped my attention that the Hammers have only conceded once and always concede goals in their own stadium – a good thing for the unsettled visitors.
Since it’s also a back-and-forth game with no real system, I’ve decided to place a classic bet and say:
Both teams score!
