Venezuela – Brazil betting tip, prediction & odds 11/14/2024

World Cup Qualification, Thursday, 14/11/2024 at 22:00

Stay tuned! In the World Cup qualifiers, the Brazilians had a hard time competing at the front from the start, but now the Selecao want to end 2024 with strong results.

Will it work? The opponent is unpleasant, has not lost a qualifier at home yet.

Reason enough for me to tell you in my Venezuela Brazil tip why I am a big fan of the 2-0 handicap bet in this case!

Five wins, one draw and four defeats? Not a record to be proud of in Brazil! The motherland of football (I know, the English also claim this phrase for themselves throughout Europe) has not had an easy year.

They were knocked out in the quarter-finals of the Copa, and while their arch-rivals from Argentina are getting back into the swing of things, they just can’t seem to get anything right themselves.

A few weeks ago, the Selecao celebrated a 4-0 win against Peru – and that was only their second really convincing victory in the qualifiers! After beating Bolivia 5-1 in September 2023, a minor crisis began.

1-0 thanks to a very late win against Peru, 1-0 thanks to an individual effort against Ecuador and 2-1 in minute 89 against Chile, Brazil managed to get three points three times over, but the performances were by no means convincing.

Paraguay, Uruguay, Colombia and unfortunately also Argentina, the four defeats hit the fans pretty hard. Well, in 2024 they won three of four qualifiers, but two of the wins were very close.

Incidentally, the 4-0 win over Peru, like the aforementioned 5-1 win over Bolivia, was secured at home. So the fact that the Selecao have to travel this week could prove decisive.

Three of their five away games in the qualifiers were lost, and the wins in Chile and Peru were both very narrow and very fortunate, with the decisive goals coming late on – and not what you would normally expect from a Brazilian national team.

In 2023 and 2024 combined, Brazil have been on the pitch in 21 international matches. Five of them goalless? That’s not exactly ideal either! So whichever way you look at it, the current number 5 in the world has seen better times.

Is Venezuela at least an easy opponent? In the first leg of the qualifier, about 13 months ago, there was a sobering 1-1 draw. In the entire history, the Selecao has lost to Venezuela only once, in a less significant away match in 2008.

So, in itself, Venezuela is usually worth a trip and, of course, our Cash Out bookmakers also predict that the Brazilians will come out on top. Nevertheless, a win for the visitors is worthwhile!

An average odds of 1.60 is on offer, while Venezuela has a maximum of 6.00. La Vinotinto are floundering a bit, even though they got their qualifying campaign off to such a good start last year.

Two wins, three draws and a 1-0 defeat to Colombia got them off to a great start in the tournament. In 2024, the results don’t read quite so well, with two draws and two defeats.

After the 4-0 defeat to Bolivia, they held Uruguay (0-0) and Argentina (1-1) to claim a point in each game, but then lost 2-1 to Paraguay despite trailing. But I immediately recognize that all three defeats were away from home.

When the Venezuelans play at home, they always come away with something. Three times it was a point, plus two wins and, above all, in these five games, they only conceded twice!

The team, which was knocked out of the Copa America in the round of 16 after a penalty shoot-out against Canada, should not be underestimated, because neither in 2023 nor in 2024 was a home game lost.

Brazil against Venezuela? At first glance, this game sounds like a fairly straightforward affair. But if we take a closer look, it is quite noticeable that it does not necessarily have to be clear.

The Selecao have had a tough time playing away in the qualifiers, with only two really convincing performances to show for it. Venezuela, on the other hand, are putting up a brave fight, especially when their own fans are there to support them.

No defeats, only two goals conceded, world champions Argentina forced to accept a 1-2 defeat, don’t underestimate La Vinotinto! For these reasons, I have decided to recommend the following bet to you:

A 2-0 HT ensures a “home victory”!
