Eintracht Frankfurt summer schedule 2026: When does the pre-season begin?
Eintracht Frankfurt’s preparations for the new season will begin on Saturday, 11 July, during the 2026 World Cup.
After seven weeks of summer vacation, lactate and performance tests are on the agenda for the Eintracht professionals. Each player completes numerous stations on Saturday and Sunday, such as a heart rhythm test. Because the tests are so strenuous after the long summer break, they are spread over two days.
On Monday, 13 July, the new head coach Adi Hütter will ask the players to take to the pitch for the official start of training. This marks the beginning of the Austrian’s second term in office at Eintracht. Hütter had already coached Eintracht from 2018 to 2021 and led them to the semi-finals of the Europa League, among other things.
However, due to the participation of numerous international players in the World Cup, Hütter will not be able to welcome all the players at the start of training. The World Cup drivers are to join the team later, depending on the time of their elimination.
Important for Eintracht fans: The first two training sessions on Monday (13 July) and Wednesday (15 July) are open to the public. The game starts at 10:30 a.m. at the training ground in Deutsche Bank Park.
All Frankfurt Summer Test Matches 2026
How many Frankfurt friendlies will there be in the 2026 summer pre-season? Only three Eintracht friendlies are currently scheduled. Two on German soil and one abroad.
The first summer test match on the Frankfurt summer schedule 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, July 18 at FC Gießen. Kick-off is at 17:00.
After further training sessions on the Frankfurt grounds, the training camp will take place from 23 July to 2 August. This will take place in Grassau am Chiemsee in Bavaria. In contrast to BVB’s summer schedule or FC Bayern’s pre-season preparation, Eintracht are not planning a trip abroad this summer.
During the more than week-long training camp, the next form check is on the list of Frankfurt friendlies in 2026: Eintracht will play a friendly at Waldhof Mannheim on 1 August (17:00).
Whether Eintracht test matches will take place during the training camp before that is currently still open.
A week later, the Eintracht Family Day will take place on Sunday, 9 August. This is also the official season opening of Eintracht Frankfurt. It starts at 1:00 p.m. and offers an extensive entertainment program with the highlight of the presentation of the women’s and men’s teams.

When is the Frankfurt season opening?

Eintracht Frankfurt summer preparation: Test match in England
Although the Eintracht Frankfurt 2026 summer schedule does not include a longer trip abroad, the SGE professionals will still be going abroad in this summer preparation. The third of Frankfurt’s 2026 friendlies so far will take place in England.
Frankfurt will play a friendly against FC Brentford, the ninth of the last Premier League season, on Saturday, August 15, at 16:00 German time.
This will be the first real endurance test for new coach Adi Hütter in the course of this Eintracht summer preparation.

Eintracht Frankfurt will play their first competitive match of the new season on 21 August (18:00 CET) in the first round of the DFB Cup at SC St. Tönis.
A week later, Eintracht will start in the Bundesliga. On Matchday 1, 29 August, the away game at Union Berlin is scheduled.
