Marlon Mustapha is leaving Fürth early. The club has agreed with Como 1907 and the 23-year-old Austrian striker to end the loan, which was originally set to last for a year. “The loan has certainly not gone as all parties had hoped,” explains sporting director Stephan Fürstner. Mustapha, who appeared in ten second division matches, will play in his home country in the future. Altach has agreed with Como on a loan until 2026 and has also secured a purchase option. For a long time, Mustapha was unable to return to Austria because he did not report for basic military service and was threatened with arrest. “The club, the player and the army are in contact with each other, so that he will do his military service at the earliest opportunity and a solution could be found together,” said Altach in a statement.
