There are few European Cup games this Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday where the drops seem to have already been sucked. However, this Conference League knockout round second leg is an exception.

That means that Ghent would have to score at least four goals to have a chance of progressing, to win in normal time. That won’t happen! And certainly not at the Estadio Benito Villamarín!
Because the starting position for KAA is more than bleak. Ghent have only won one of their last 14 away games in all competitions.
Worryingly, they have not scored in half of those games. And they would need several this time!
They have also lost all three of their away games in the Conference League, which makes the task even more difficult. Ghent’s current form speaks against them, and their chances of overcoming such a high hurdle seem to be close to zero.
It will be almost impossible for Ghent to overcome this task. They have shown that their away record is far from impressive, and to beat a team as strong as Betis seems utopian in this form.
The thrashing in the first leg could therefore be considered almost ‘insurmountable’, especially since they have encountered enormous difficulties in the past with less of a deficit.
The Andalusians, on the other hand, seem determined to use their home advantage and dominate the second leg as well.
Based on the statistic that in the last five Conference League games of Ghent, neither team scored, a bet on “RBS to win to nil” could be a good choice at odds of around 2.20.
Given that KAA just wants to get this game over with and that Betis are usually defensively stable at home, the likelihood of such a scenario is relatively high. A 1-0 or 2-0 for RBS is absolutely possible.
