Following the departure of Francesco Farioli, Ajax Amsterdam has presented a familiar face as its new coach: John Heitinga has signed a two-year contract as head coach. The former defender will take over the reins in Amsterdam for the second time after 2023, having already coached the club for one season. He will be assisted by Marcel Keizer, with whom he previously worked in Ajax’s youth academy.
