The Champions League finalist is in the round of 16 of the Club World Cup – not a big surprise in itself. Inter Milan is not yet in top form in the new FIFA tournament, continuing seamlessly from the final of the Champions League. So how realistic is it that they will be eliminated in the round of 16?

I’m even going one step further, because at Betano, the 0-0 result bet after the first half is a good value. The odds have only increased slightly, now reaching 2.67.
In my opinion, a 0-0 result bet is also conceivable, based on regular time. If we don’t see any goals at all, we’ll get odds of 7.60 at Betano.
Inter Milan – Fluminense: odds analysis
A knockout phase in a club world championship with 16 teams? That’s a completely new experience even for ChatGPT. It’s therefore well worth taking a look at the AI, as there are one or two interesting bets to analyze there.
For example, we are offered the tip “Inter Milan to win & both teams to score.” Realistic? Let me put it this way: the bet doesn’t fit into my betting recommendation of “under 2.5 goals.” I don’t think an Inter win is a sure thing, as the group stage hasn’t been that convincing.
What about the classic “both teams to score”? A 1-1 draw would be possible if you bet on “under 2.5 goals.” In this case, I’m more inclined to believe that we won’t see any goals on either side – Fluminense has already played two 0-0 draws.
The half-time/full-time bet on Inter Milan is also interesting. The Italians have not yet gone into half-time with a lead in the Club World Cup, which stuck with me from the preliminary round. Accordingly, I would be quite cautious here.
The AI also provides me with a disguised result bet, namely 1-0 OR 2-0, both tips would be correct in this case. Not unrealistic! If the Nerazzurri are victorious, I have exactly these narrow, low-scoring results in mind.
In this context, a favorite win to nil is also conceivable. The AI sees good chances for this bet, so if you want to place it at Betano, you can expect odds of 2.60.
The best odds for Inter Milan vs. Fluminense
I probably don’t need to explain that Inter Milan are the favorites going into the round of 16 against Fluminense. At the same time, however, it’s by no means the case that the Italian runners-up are miles ahead.
Anyone betting on an Inter win in regular time will be rewarded with average odds of 1.75. The situation is different for Fluminense, of course, where the odds climb to an average of 5.00.
A draw is estimated at 3.50, which shows that extra time cannot be ruled out. Speaking of extra time and penalty shootouts, you can also simply bet on the club that will advance in this round.
If Inter are celebrating at the end and you bet on this, you’ll have to settle for odds of less than 1.40. Fluminense qualifying for the quarter-finals offers you completely different odds, with 3.10 available for risk-taking bettors.

How do you deal with a 5-0 defeat in the Champions League final? With this difficult question in mind, Inter Milan traveled to the US a few weeks ago to try and overcome their frustration at the Club World Cup.
The Italian runners-up did not get off to a particularly impressive start in 2025, only managing a 1-1 draw against Monterrey. A little later, they came within a hair’s breadth of a real embarrassment against Urawa Red Diamons, but Inter managed to turn things around just in time.

All in all, it took the team a lot of effort to get into solid form. By winning the group, they also made it into the supposedly easier part of the tournament.
Fluminense, however, need not approach the game with too much reverence; the Brazilians have little to reproach themselves for. Their tournament started with a 0-0 draw against Dortmund, and a win would have been well deserved here.
A few days later, the team showed a completely different, much more offensive side in a 4-2 win over Ulsan. Anyone who thought it would continue like this was mistaken, because the old approach prevailed again in the 0-0 draw against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Three of the four goals, which cannot be denied, were scored by Fluminense after the break. The bet “Fluminense will score in the second half” would earn you odds of 2.55 at Betano.
