Austria’s bottom club Blau-Weiß Linz has found a replacement for its currently injured goal scorer Ronivaldo, signing 29-year-old Israeli Shon Weissman until summer 2026 with an option for an additional year. Weissman had recently been released by Granada, and Fortuna Düsseldorf decided not to sign him at the beginning of August. The transfer has been met with criticism from fans in Linz, as Weissman called for the destruction of Gaza on social media following the attack on Israel by the terrorist organization Hamas in October 2023.
