Bayern – Dortmund Tip Bundesliga, Matchday 7 on Saturday, 10/18/2025 at 6:30 p.m.
I can’t believe that there are reputable bookmakers who will pay you up to €100 for a goal by Harry Kane in the Bundesliga classic.
After all, you can wake up the accurate Englishman at 3:00 a.m. and he’ll easily slam the ball into the corner from twenty meters away in his sweatpants.
As for my personal Bayern Dortmund tip, I didn’t just trust my gut feeling, I also analyzed the general playing tendencies of both teams and consulted the data evaluation of our AI model.
This confirmed my suspicion that it could be similar to their last meeting in April. Remember when a sluggish 0-0 at halftime suddenly turned into a 2-2 draw?
This time, too, there are many indications that a phase of hesitant exchanges could be followed by a frantic final quarter of an hour.
This encounter is historically significant like no other! For the 138th time since the Bundesliga was founded, Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern will face each other – no other match has been played more often in German professional soccer.
Munich have suffered more defeats against BVB (33) than against any other team. Most recently, the record champions failed to win three consecutive matches – their longest such streak since 2010 to 2012.
Bayern – Dortmund prediction & bets
Regardless of the mega odds boost on a goal by Harry Kane mentioned at the beginning, the Englishman would have been mentioned in my personal Bayern BVB prediction anyway – along with his counterpart on the other side, by the way!
Harry Kane and Serhou Guirassy are among the most dangerous players in Europe’s top leagues in 2025. Kane is in second place with 39 goals in competitive games, while Guirassy is in third place with 32 goals.
Only Kylian Mbappé of Real Madrid has scored more often than the two Bundesliga stars, with 44 goals.
Consequently, I have decided to bet on both Kane to score and Guirassy to score on Saturday at average Bayern BVB odds of 1.57 and 3.00 respectively.
A little tip: if you put them together on a betting slip on the Oddset app, you’ll even get a great combination odds of 4.60.
What you need to know when betting on Bayern vs. Dortmund
- FC Bayern Munich is the only team in the Bundesliga with an average of more than 2.0 expected goals (xG) per 90 minutes.
- Vincent Kompany’s team averages 2.52 xG per 90 minutes after six match days.
- Only four Bundesliga teams have a “field tilt” rating of 60% or higher (percentage of ball contacts in the attacking third).
- Both FC Bayern (60.94%) and Dortmund (60.16%) are among the top four in this ranking.
- The odds of 1.04 for Bayern to win the title imply a 96.2% probability of them defending their title.
- Luis Diaz is the only player in the Bundesliga with double-digit key passes (14) and at least three assists.
- The former Liverpool striker has scored four assists and five goals in less than six full games.
Bayern – Dortmund: AI tip & odds analysis
According to our Bayern Dortmund AI prediction, the course of action for Saturday evening at the Allianz Arena is clearly defined. From the very first minute, the team will be moving towards the visitors’ goal!
The selection of Bayern over 2.5 goals is justified at odds of around 1.85, among other things, by the fact that the record champions have already scored at least three goals in each of their last nine competitive games. That’s a compelling argument, indeed!
That the second half will be the highest-scoring is a special bet that our digital betting friend also endorses and, incidentally, coincides perfectly with my very own Bayern BVB tip from the headline.
After all, I expect at least one goal per side after the break – but it could be significantly more!
As for the outcome of the game, our AI is certain that Bayern will win. It’s just a shame that the Bayern odds of around 1.40 traded on the markets are only suitable for a place on your own combination betting slip.
The best odds for Bayern vs. Dortmund
The Bundesliga classic is coming up – Bayern vs. Dortmund, the duel that all of soccer-loving Germany is watching.
When these two giants meet, it’s never just about three points, but about prestige, power, and history. Will the record champions make a clear statement about their season goal of defending their title with a win?
The top odds this time are at Bet-at-Home and Betano: 1.40 for a Munich win, 5.75 for a draw, and 7.90 if BVB pulls off the upset.
While Bayern exude dominance and routine as usual, Dortmund are traveling with a “now more than ever” mentality. Emotion, pressure, and class—this classic match is once again at the heart of the Bundesliga.
Bayern vs Dortmund match analysis:
Bayern is the clear favorite going into this top match, even though Dortmund is currently its biggest rival in the title race. Munich controlled the action in both matches last season. And Vincent Kompany’s team now looks even more solid.
Bayern’s offensive statistics are outstanding in Europe: with 18.71 shots per game, they are the clear leaders in the Bundesliga and score an average of 2.17 more goals than any other team.
Kompany’s bold approach of pressing early and playing high up the pitch results in numerous ball wins in dangerous areas, regularly putting the attackers in promising scoring positions.
Dortmund are likely to try to exploit this offensive approach. In Serhou Guirassy and Karim Adeyemi, the visitors have two players who can break down Bayern’s high line with pace and direct play.
Nevertheless, there is much to be said for the record champions: Bayern are exceeding their own xG value by 8.21 and Kane is currently scoring at an impressive rate – 11 goals in 8 games. If he continues this run, he could once again be the decisive factor.
Bayern form check
Bayern Munich goes into Saturday’s “classic” as the clear favorite – both for the win and for successfully defending its title.
In their second season under coach Kompany, Bayern are even stronger offensively than in the 2024/25 season and currently have an impressive 2.52 expected goals (xG) per game.
Kane leads the scoring charts with eleven goals, while Luis Diaz shines with four assists. Michael Olise and Serge Gnabry are also playing a decisive role in making Bayern’s attack one of the most dangerous in Europe once again.
Munich’s home record is outstanding. But Dortmund, of all teams, is likely to be the toughest test of the season so far – especially since Bayern have not beaten Borussia at home since 2023.
A win this weekend could therefore steer the championship race in the direction desired by the Munich board at an early stage.
Dortmund form check
As Bayern’s closest challengers, Dortmund have a great opportunity to keep the Bundesliga title race exciting.
The second-placed team travels to Munich with a lot of confidence – four clean sheets in six league games speak for the new-found stability under Nico Kovac.
Led by Serhou Guirassy, who continues to be a lethal threat in front of goal, and an in-form Karim Adeyemi, BVB are currently as strong as they have been since the 2024 Champions League final.
Dortmund are unbeaten in seven Bundesliga away games and also proved their quality on the international stage with a 4-4 draw against Juventus in Turin.
Thanks to their tactical flexibility and their coach’s knack for optimally utilizing and promoting talents such as Yan Couto, Borussia can rightly see themselves as serious title contenders – especially since they have been unbeaten against Bayern for two seasons.
