In the almost three-week international break, Rot-Weiss Essen has a guest player in training: Florian Engelhardt, who is currently without a club, is training with the third division club. The 23-year-old was under contract with league rivals Viktoria Köln until the summer, and the midfielder played a total of 79 third division games for the Domstadt club. Engelhardt, if he impresses with his training performances, could soon be another option for RWE’s central midfield.
