In the looming case of Tom Moustier’s departure, Max Brandt from league rivals Ulm also plays a role in filling the position in the Essen offensive. However, Spatzen coach Pavel Dotchev does not think much of the idea of selling the 24-year-old to Hafenstraße. “For me, it’s out of the question to give up Max, and that’s why I’m not dealing with it,” Dotchev said at the press conference before the Ulm game against SVWW on Saturday. “He still has six months left on his contract, and I’m planning with him.” Brandt has played 18 games so far this season (one goal, one assist).
