Borussia Dortmund have signed Kaua Prates, his contract, which runs until 2031, begins in the summer. Until then, the 17-year-old is still under contract with Cruzeiro Belo Horzonte. In 2019, the now 17-year-old moved to the youth department of the Brazilian top-flight club, for whose professional team he made his debut in May 2025 as a 16-year-old. With the Brazilian U17s, the left-back won the U-17 South American Championship in 2025.
