Bielefeld’s sporting managing director Michael Mutzel did not make a clear commitment to Mitch Kniat after the season finale. “We achieved the goal, he did a good job. We’ll discuss everything else in the next few days,” said the 46-year-old about the coach’s future. “We have to look each other in the eye. And then we’ll both say: it’s all good or not.” Kniat has been head coach of Arminia since the summer of 2023, and after promotion last year, he narrowly escaped relegation with his team in this second division season.
