Hopes for a comeback have been dashed: Celtic goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has to end his career after suffering a serious shoulder injury against VfB Stuttgart in the Europa League. His doctors had made him understand “that I should not expect to be able to play at the highest level again,” the 39-year-old told the Danish TV station “TV2”. Schmeichel played 120 international matches for Denmark and won the English championship with Leicester City in 2016.
