SC Freiburg have presented the second new signing for the coming season after Mio Backhaus. Rihito Yamamoto is moving from Belgian first division club Sint-Truidense VV to Breisgau. “He’s a midfield all-rounder in the truest sense of the word,” said sporting director Klemens Hartenbach of the 24-year-old Japanese. “His great strength is certainly that he is very broadly positioned. This allows him to set significant accents both with and against the ball. Now it’s time to adapt and develop further in subtleties – we’re looking forward to that!”
